Super excited to share Seas Apart with 4th and 5th graders at North Elementary this afternoon. Bonus: Sammy gets to go with me. :.)

As they say, “there’s no place like home.” I grew up in Kentucky and I couldn’t be more excited to return to my roots. Many thanks to Brant Welch and Holli White for helping me put the Kentucky Tour together. Public Visit – On March 19th, anyone may visit me at the Hamburg Place Barnes and Noble in Lexington, KY from 2-5pm. Copies of Seas Apart will be available for purchase. School Visit – Monday, March 20th, I will return to the middle school I attended, Morton, and spend the day speaking with students. The book signing was a huge success and I love seeing our community come together to benefit the encouragement of reading for our children. Barnes and Noble Book Signing

This is a reminder that next Saturday, February 18th, Sammy and I will be at the Noblesville Barnes and Noble from 2-5pm signing copies of Seas Apart. During that time, White River Elementary will also have a book fair. There will be lots of fun activities for you children including a scavenger hunt, teacher story time, and a coloring and crafts table. We hope to see you there.

Today I received these pictures from my sister. It turns out that my nephew, Jordon, chose my book to use for his English book report assignment. I cannot tell you how much it warmed my heart to see the world of Simmons and Jacqui through his eyes. So fun!

I am excited to share two upcoming events that I will be attending. On Saturday, February 18th, Sammy and I will have a book signing and book fair along with WRE at the Noblesville Barnes and Noble from 2-5pm. We will also participate in the Circle City Author Fair at Washington Square Mall from 12-6pm on Saturday, February 25th. These events are fun and family friendly. Please come out and see us and join us in inspiring and encouraging our kiddos to read. Thank you for all of the support you have given!
